From “MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM“, the main unit of the Black Knight Squad with the name Emerald, “BLACK NIGHT SQUAD Rud-ro.A(GRIFFIN ARBALEST CUSTOM)” has appeared in GUNPLA HG plastic model kit, so I would like to review it!

Package and attached stickers. It is used to color code small parts such as mono-eyes, backpacks, and legs.
Accessories include OWC-M1R1/F high energy beam rifle, OWC-QZ200 anti-mobile suit heavy sword, OTS-M26 shield, and beam cloak effect.
I have some small parts left over for Shi-Ve.A.
This is the finished【HGCE】BLACK NIGHT SQUAD Rud-ro.A(GRIFFIN ARBALEST CUSTOM).
A mobile suit manufactured by the Foundation Kingdom that appears in the movie “MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM”, and is a special machine of Griffin Arbalest, who was especially popular among the Black Knight Squad.
The Griffin aircraft has the name “Emerald”, so different shades of green are scattered throughout the aircraft.
Only the joints, backpack, upper arms, and thighs are used from the Black Knight Squad Shi-Ve.A that appeared previously, and most of them are new models for Rud-ro.A .
The joints, which were gold in Shi-Ve.A, are now molded in a gunmetal-like molding color with a solid feel.
Compare to Division Commander Shura’s BLACK NIGHT SQUAD Shi-Ve.A.
The shape of the armor and the configuration of the weapons are all slightly different from Shi-Ve.A, making it milder overall.

The Viking-shaped head is completely different from Shi-Ve.A.
You can choose from two types of stickers for the mono eye, and it looks like it’s winking, which is cute 😉(^_-)-☆
The torso has no gimmicks like Shi-Ve.A’s chest armor and 1,000 needles.
The SEED action system structure allows the shoulder joint to be pulled out and the torso to be moved significantly.
The shape of the backpack is almost the same as Shi-Ve.A’s, but the small tail-like wings are missing and a heavy sword arm is attached instead.
The other side is covered with a lid part.
A beam cloak effect made of the same clear soft material as Shi-Ve.A is also included.
The gradation pattern seems to be the same.
It is connected to the back using a two-axis type joint, so it is compatible with other kits.
The upper arms and joints are the same as Shi-Ve.A’s, but the rest is new.
There are tasteless spikes sculpted on the wrists, and if you just look at them, they look like Fist of the North Star.
The silhouette is the same around the waist, but the exterior is new.
The hip joint does not slide.
The legs are the same as the thighs and the rest are new.
Compared to the rugged Shi-Ve.A, it looks cleaner, and the gray sides of the thighs are color-coded with stickers.
The area around the heel is color-coded with stickers, just like Shi-Ve.A.
OWC-M1R1/F High energy beam rifle. The sensor part is molded as a separate part and can be color coded with blue stickers.
Can be mounted on the waist.
OWC-QZ200 Anti-mobile suit heavy sword can be mounted on a backpack and comes with a special beam effect.
The arm of the mount part is movable.
OTS-M26 Shield. There is no particular gimmick, but it is made with separate parts such as the green part.
The connection part with the arm moves on a ball axis.
Equipped with a high energy beam rifle and shield.
Action with beam rifle.
It doesn’t really bother me, but it has a flawed design that interferes with the thorns on your wrist if you hold it straight.
Action with a heavy sword. The shoulder area moves well, so you can easily hold it with both hands!
Although it looks very quirky, the main character’s weapons are a sword, rifle, and shield, and this is what is commonly called gap moe!
