Package & Accessories

Here is the package and attached seal. Comes with foil stickers that came with HGUC Super Gundam and new realistic decals. Gundam Mk-II is not included, so stickers such as twin eyes are treated as surplus.

This kit was introduced in 2012 appeared as a plastic model Real Grade Gundam Mk-II, and it is a set of G Defensor and Flying Armor, which is the support mechanism of the same aircraft. Some of the manuals, such as instructions for applying realistic decals and color guides, were in full color.

Accessories are parts that dock the G Defensor and RG Gundam Mk-II, and a stand for flying armor.

Since the old HGUC Gundam Mk-II is not included, the yellow parts such as the antenna will be redundant.

Review(G-Defenser)

Let’s start with this [HGUC] “G-Defenser”. An AEUG variable fighter that appears in “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam” that can be combined with the Gundam Mk-II to become the G Flyer or Super Gundam. It will be a diversion of the G -Defenser attached to the HGUC Super Gundam that was appeared as a plastic model in 2002.

Since the kit was originally introduced in 2002, there are some parts where the colors are lacking and the joints between the left and right parts are sticking out. Compared to the G-Defenser that comes with the Super Gundam sold in stores, the molding color of the blue part was a darker blue.

from the front or side. A fuselage with a thin silhouette body and a long long rifle. I haven’t assembled the RG Gundam Mk-II so I can’t use it, but the joint parts for docking with it were newly included.

The missile bay can be opened and closed. The interior is color-coded with black parts, but the missile warhead needs to be painted red.

The core block on the nose, also known as Yosomi Meteorite, can be separated as a core fighter. Thanks to the shaft hole for docking with the main unit, I was able to float it on the stand.

The main wing can be moved upward, and the blue part is colored with a sticker. The vernier part needs to be painted in red.

The upper armor can be moved with the left and right bars.

There is no shaft hole for the stand on the G-Defenser body, but since the shaft pin that connects to the backpack of Gundam Mk-II is molded, if you use the 3mm shaft cylindrical parts attached to the action base, you can use it as a stand.

The long rifle, which is the main weapon of Super Gundam, has a movable blue hatch and grip. The white part of the barrel is colored with a sticker.

Review(Flyingarmor)

Next is [HGUC] “Flyingarmor” . A support mecha that was used during the Jaburo capture battle in the early stages of “Mobile Suit Z Gundam”, and was used to enter the atmosphere of the Gundam Mk-II. This is a diversion of the “HGUC 1/144 Gundam Mk-II + Flyingarmor” that was appeared as a plastic model in 2005.

The old version of HGUC Gundam Mk-II, which was originally a set as well as G-Defenser, was omitted. I haven’t assembled the over-the-counter version of the flyingarmor, so I can’t compare it, but according to the official page, there is no change in the molding color.

from the front or back. It’s large enough to cover the Gundam Mk-II completely, and the main wings and other parts are shaped with a fairly thin silhouette.

Gundam Mk-II shield can be stored in the nose part. The handrest part is color-coded with red parts, and there is no grip inside, just simply insert the Gundam Mk-II hand parts.

The part where the Mk-II’s toes are inserted is also colored with red parts.

A dedicated stand is included, and it is possible to change the angle in 5 stages. When using the stand, you can store the lid parts on the back side.

Action

Action with G-Defenser and HGUC Revive Gundam Mk-II. The G-Defenser is quite old, so if you put it side by side with the RG Gundam Mk-II, it will feel strange. I wonder if it will look like that if I add realistic decals and add details?

Action with Revive Gundam Mk-II and Flying Armor. The color coding is excellent and the details are nicely sculpted, so it looks like it would look great alongside the RG! !

Dock G-Defenser and Gundam Mk-II to transform into G-Flyer or Super Gundam. It’s a long rifle, but I couldn’t hold it with the revived Gundam Mk-II hand parts because of its thick grip, so I used the old Gundam Mk-II that came with the original kit Super Gundam.

Titans specification and metallic color Gundam Mk-II. If it’s a support mecha, I’d like to see appeared as a plastic model of the Mega Rider from ZZ! !

That concludes my review of [HGUC] “G-DEFENSER & FLYINGARMOR”!!

GOANZEN NI!!
